Self-Medication - an untapped opportunity is the theme for the 2008 NZSMI Conference to be held at the Heritage Hotel & Spa du Vin on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th October.

We are delighted to welcome Nicholas Hall from the United Kingdom to New Zealand for his first visit, as our Keynote Speaker. He has spoken at over 300 conferences and seminars visiting 58 countries in the process. Not to be missed! Tony Carter, Managing Director, Foodstuffs-Auckland has agreed to give the "grocery" perspective of the OTC self-medication opportunity and his company's plans to grow the category.

Other speakers contributing include:
Annabel Young
, CEO, The Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand (recently appointed)
Bronwyn Clark
, CEO, Pharmacy Council
Virginia Wilkinson
, Coriolis Research
John Cooper, Synovate Aztec
Juliet Seifert, CEO, Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI)

We are still finalising the programme with anticipated contributions from Medsafe, the Retail banner groups, and a political panel or speaker representing the Health sector.
