This year’s Conference has the theme ‘Connecting with Self-Care’ and attempts to further develop the notion that self-care and self-medication are crucial to the future health of all New Zealanders.
We encourage you to register early for this year’s Conference as we expect a full house based on the responses received from last year’s event.

Speakers
This year the overseas speaker will be Chris Horsey from the Ministry of Health in the UK and he will be discussing the way in which the UK have successfully shortened the period for OTC registration of products to market. Stuart Jessamine, the Group Manager of Medsafe will bring an update on Medsafe’s changes and his view on the way forward for developing stronger and better links between the Industry and the Regulator, Stephen Edmonds (IMS Health), will bring a global update on the OTC market showing trends and shifts per category.
The Master of Ceremonies for the day will be John Campbell, the TV3 current affairs broadcaster and as part of his duties he will facilitate two panel discussions which will attempt to address the subjects of:
1. Are regulators too risk averse with regard to OTC medicines?
2. Natural Products-the new paradigm for marketing to consumers
Steve Anderson, Managing Director of Foodstuffs (South Island) will bring a grocer’s perspective to the impact and growth of OTC medicines within the supermarket channel. Other key speakers include, Mike Seymour from Radius Pharmacy Group; Deon Schoombie, Executive Director ASMI; and the day will conclude with a guest speaker who will provide a motivational message.

Cancellations
Should you need to cancel your registration for any reason,you may reassign your registration to another person. Please notify The Conference Company of the replacement delegate’s name and contact details.

If you are unable to arrange a replacement, a refund (the full conference fee less an administration charge of $75.00) will be made, providing notification is received by 21 September 2010. After that date no refunds will be made.
If, for reasons beyond the control of the Organising Committee, the conference is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded after the deduction of expenses already incurred.

Dress for the meeting and social function is smart casual.
